Patrice Evra called his secular enemy Luis Suarez to fight in a combat of mixed martial arts next month.
Evra, 43, hung up her boots in July 2019, after playing 734 senior football appearances, winning 20 trophies in 21 years. Meanwhile, Suarez is still there in the MLS, playing for Inter Miami, belonging to David Beckham alongside Lionel Messi and Co.
Since his retirement, Evra’s off -track escapades have included Punditry, commercial enterprises and its emergence as a social media personality. But, six years after football, Evra changed the boots for the gloves and will try the mixed martial arts.
The former Manchester United Left Back will make its debut for the Fighters Professional League (PFL) during its event in Paris on May 23. His opponent has not yet been confirmed, although the event is in less than a month.
However, Evra joked on social networks that he wanted to fight the former Liverpool Suarez striker, whom he accused of racial abuse in 2011 when the two were involved in a conflict in a draw between United and Liverpool.
Suarez was accused of “abusive words and / or insults and / or behavior contrary to AF rules”, including “a reference at ethnic origin and / or the color and / or the breed of Patrice Evra”.

Evra also targeted a jibe to be sadly involved in three distinct biting incidents during his career.
Evra wrote on X: “Breaking: I officially train for my first fight with @pfleurope. They will choose my opponent … They asked who I wanted to face. I said: Luis Suarez. I will pay from his pocket. He can even bite me.
Suarez’s first controversy came by playing for Ajax in 2009, when he bit the opponent Psv Otman Bakkal.
By playing to Liverpool four years later, perhaps the most famous, Suarez bit the defender of Chelsea Branislav Ivanovic on the arm.
And, finally, the last of Uruguayan antics came when he bit the center of Italy Giorgio Chiellini on the shoulder in 2014.
Evra began her combat training in 2016, helped by her friend and PFL superstar, Cedric Doumbe.
He previously had to do his debut in another combat sport against the social media star Adam Saleh in 2022 before the boxing fight was canceled by the celebrity of the Boxstar promotion.
Evra has published an official declaration confirming its inclusion on the PFL card. He said: ‘YThe guys should know now, I love this game too!
