“It is a war that should never have happened. I call him war that should never have happened,” said Trump.
Earlier this week, Trump defined against Zelenskyy for refusing to recognize Crimea as Russian, saying that Ukraine should have fighted for this in 2014 and blame Zelenskyy to prolong the war.
“Well, Crimea went to the Russians. This was given to them by Barack Hussein Obama, not by me,” Trump said in the interview. “That being said, will they be able to recover it? … (The Russians) had their submarines there long before any period of which we are talking about, for many years. People speak Russian in Crimea,” he said.

In 2014, before running for the Presidency of the United States, Trump congratulated the first invasion of Ukraine by Russian President Vladimir Putin as “so intelligent”. In an interview with Fox News, Trump said Putin “did an incredible job to take the coat”.
