Large -scale actress Sydney Sweeney (“Euphoria”, “anyone but you”) is ready for both executive products and playing in a cinematographic adaptation of the successful video games of Hazelight Studios “Split Fiction”.
In addition, the director “Wicked” Jon M. Chu should lead the project, which is currently written by the writers “Deadpool & Wolverine”, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.
The game mixes fantasy and science fiction and follows a pair of authors trapped in the worlds they have written by an unscrupulous publisher using a new type of technology. It has not yet been decided which main role Sweeney will play – Zoe or Mio.
Like their past works such as the game of the year “It Takes Two”, “Split Fiction” can only be played with two people and gameplay mechanisms involve combat and platform challenges shared with the two players who need to work together to make it work.
The title has sold one million copies in 24 hours and more than two million copies the first week. Mike Goldberg and Dmitri M. Johnson will produce cinematographic adaptation.
An auction war broke out for the project in March.
