The day of the NFL draft arrived and the first choice of the Bengals of Cincinnati will be delivered with the 17th global selection.
Last year was a little different from this year. It was quite obvious that the Bengals leaned to an offensive line player when the team selected Amarius Mims out of Georgia.
This year is a little different. The team is desperate in certain regions and could simply use a certain depth in other places.
When you look at it, some people prefer the best available players, and others are more determined to obtain certain positions. What if we combine both?
There are some players that you just can’t jump. Sam Hubbard has left, Trey Hendrickson faces contractual negotiations, and the remaining edge rushers have not yet shown that they can produce at a high level for a winning defense.
Despite the addition of free agents in both places, Bengal priority should be on both lines again. Then it is a secondary and secondary launch. You cannot be mistaken with the cornerback, security or the secondary. All three have solid guys there but almost no depth.
When you look at the prospects this year, there is a ton of depth on the defensive side of the ball compared to the offensive side. It just depends on who is there at n ° 17.
With everything said, let’s dive into our latest simulation project here in Cincy Jungle while the day of the draft arrives!
Round 1, Pick 17: Mike Green, Edge, Marshall
Yes, I understand that I said that there was more depth on the defense than offensive, but you have to look at where the biggest priorities of Bengals are. You cannot transmit this guy.
This year, he is no doubt my guy. It is a grade solution has to a huge problem that Bengals have. If it is there at 17, go get it.
Marshall Edge Mike Green – who buzzed the training ground after this representative earlier in the day in 1 against 1 – chose to withdraw from the rest of the week of the senior bowl and go home to continue her preparation for the draft.

Round 2, Pick 49: TJ Sanders, DT, South Carolina
Again, you cannot transmit certain priorities.
There may be more depth on the defensive side of the ball, and you could get a defensive tackle later, but you need big guy at the front who can hold on. Bengals were beaten and pushed last year. They need help in the middle, and they will get it.
TJ Sanders is a pure athlete in the defensive tackle.
It is a hot explosive DT at 6’4, 284 pounds and wreaks havoc against the race and the pass. 60 pressures, 10 bags and 54 stops in the last two seasons in South Carolina.

Round 3, Pick 81: Charles Grant, OT, William & Mary
Finally, the Bengals get Joe Burrow a little more help in advance. They also obtain the great offensive line player in the third to give Scott Peters, the new coach of the offensive line, a little more depth.
Charles Grant is an absolute DAWG with an unpleasant band.
A raw and new technique in the game, but his film William & Mary displays sporting tools, the size and the 7 -foot lip to develop and stay in a tackle for a long time. pic.twitter.com/g2dedpbuvn

Round 4, choose 119: Billy Bowman, Jr., S, Oklahoma
Last year, there were many inconsistencies in secondary school. It should be cleaned. Bowman gives them a little more stability.

Round 5, Pick 153: Dylan Fairchild, C / G, Georgia
Let’s go back to the line. Fairchild joins the other Bulldogs Giant Mims in the trenches. Bengals did not do too much trouble outside but rather inside, and Fairchild should be there to help. I also like Ratledge, but I think he went to the 3rd round. Who knows, the Bengals could obtain Ratledge on Tour 3.
Round 6, Pick 193: Cody Lindenberg, LB, Minnesota
With Logan Wilson who was injured, Germaine Pratt demanding a trade and Akeem Davis-Gone without signature with Arizona, Bengals need help in the middle.
They still have Shaka Hayward and the former free agent not drafted, NjongMeta, they could use additional help. Again, if Jack Kiser, the former secondary of Notre-Dame under Al Golden, is there, I understand it, but I think he left a little before that.
There is something in the game # 45 Cody Lindenberg. Nothing of these pieces is 3rd and 1 and 3rd and 2. He makes sure that he communicates with everyone and that you can say on the basis of the training and film study that he knows the pieces. pic.twitter.com/j7zd4vgu4y

This rolls up.
I have already said: these simulated sketches are realistic, but they are by no means precise. But, I see the Bengals seize the most, otherwise all these positions for the depth. You can also see a hybrid corner / security or a delayed balloon. If they decide a weapon, I don’t see him occur before the 5th round.
