Beck is back.
Although the serial killer Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) murdered his pounding girlfriend Guinevere Beck (Elizabeth Lail) In season one of YouThe actress returned to the final of the series to exhibit a dramatic secrecy which links a new character to the first episode.
In episode six of the five season – on Netflix on April 24 – Beck returns to a flashback scene, revealing that the new muse of Joe Louise alias Brontë (Madeline Brewer) Knows actually beck personally. Beck had been his writing, encouraging his work and even offering him a personalized copy of Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontëapparently inspiring his nickname.
“You have this way of digging in the psyche of your characters, even those who seem irremediable,” said Beck to Louise in the scene. “It’s like radical empathy. It’s really impressive.”
After Louise calls for “too nice” praise, Beck is doubled, saying: “No, do not do that thing where you will run out of compliment. Assembly in it and accept that I think you are really good in this area.”
