Minneapolis – Rocco Baldelli recognizes the severity of the situation.
With his team with the third record of the baseball base on the heels of the collapse of last season, the manager of the Minnesota Twins is on the hot seat and he knows it.
The seventh year director is disappointed with the 8-15 record record, especially after the club revised its training operation in the spring to avoid this type of departure.
A few hours before the opening of the twins which could be the most important house of house in his career, Baldelli recognized his precarious position. But he also realizes that the waste of energy being worried about his future is counter-intuitive and remains in the place focused on the resolution of the misfortunes of his team before the season is sunk.
“When you register to manage and train or play, you register for anything,” said Baldelli on Tuesday afternoon before the Twins were for a 4-2 victory against the White Sox. “There is nothing easy on this subject, there is nothing pleasant to play baseball below the level of your own expectations. You can never stop in the future. You just have to continue productively in the sense of playing winning baseball. … All this does.

The twins were confronted with important early challenges, in particular a serious organizational depth test with the losses of key actors.
The team is without Pablo López, Matt Wallner and Royce Lewis, who are all on the injured list. The title MVP in title Willi Castro has not played for five days because of a tight oblique muscle.
The Brock Stewart flame launcher lift only returned from an injury during the weekend, Michael Tonkin is on the begged and Austin Martin and Jose Miranda are on the IL at Triple A.
Despite the revision of their typing coaches after last season, the twins had trouble hitting. They remove less but do not hit the ball with a lot of authority.
Until Monday, the Twins have an average of 3.4 points per game and were 0-12 when they scored three points or less. Although the twins have succeeded in the lowest average in the history of the team on the balls struck in play, they are the lowest third of the majors on average in the expected and sixth stick of the percentage of expected slugging.
The starting rotation recovered well after the loss of López in mid-April, but its first 10 departures were an abject disaster, opening the way to a departure of 3-7.
And an enclosure projected as the best of majors had trouble protecting the tracks. The Twins enclosure entered Tuesday with the probability of the lowest added victory (minus 1.7) in the league and is 8-2 when it is in the lead after seven rounds this season. The twins are 1-4 in racing matches.
Combined with the collapse of 12-27 of last season, the twins have been 20-42 since August 17, the second first record in MLB over this period.
All the difficulties of the team arise in the context of the sagged attendance and a property group which is trying to sell the club. Essentially, twins are desperate for good vibrations and are looking for answers.
“Whenever you are well in this game, you feel like you are not hurting,” said Baldelli. “And whenever things are not doing well, you think you cannot do good. In reality, none of this is true – and that is why we stick to truths and work and very productive things that we know on our game and our paths to go ahead to play excellent baseball.”
The meaning is that the level of play of twins must improve soon or Baldelli could be ousted despite a curriculum vitae which presents three titles of the central league of the American league in six seasons. Baldelli, who in 2023 led the team to his first victory in the playoffs in 21 years, had the third percentage of the highest victories (0.521) of the managers of twins, with several seasons, causing the team.
Always the soothing presence, Baldelli does not show signs of external panic.
“Our guys just need to go out and play with confidence, to play well,” said Baldelli. “You never reach a point of the season, unless you are in the last week or two of a special season, where you start to call” essential “games. This is not what is happening.
