A Nascar driver revealed that she had been threatened and harassed online following a North Carolina accident this weekend.
Katherine LEGGE led car n ° 53 to the NASCAR XFINITY series – The Feeder series at the TOP VOL NASCAR CUP series – during a race at Rockingham Speedway.
The British driver appeared to be out of a slower corner than expected and was hit from behind by car n ° 18 by William Sawalich.
Legge, which started four times in Indianapolis 500, also established a little contact with the front quarter panel of the machine n ° 33 driven by Kasey Kahne.
After this accident, LEGGE revealed on her podcast on accelerator therapy that she received several harassment messages – including death threats – following the incident. Although she did not see the comments, she says they were relayed to her.
“I continue to come to all of you with this drama that I hate. This has not been in the past, so it is a new phenomenon for me, ”she started.

“Being a woman flowing in Nascar, she comes with an incredible feeling of pride. It comes with a level of control and harassment.
“Hatder mail, death threats and inappropriate sexual comments that I have received on disturbances. They are unacceptable.
She continued: “Let me be very clear: I’m here to run. I’m here to compete. I will not tolerate any of these threats to my security, nor to my dignity, whether on the right track or outside this.
“Race is a passionate sport, and I understand that fans have strong opinions. I love it and I respect it about our sport. Constructive criticism is part of the game, and I am always open to listening and improvement. I will always take responsibility for the errors I am making.
“However, what I think people must understand is that there is a line between comments and personal attacks, and it is really disappointing to see how often this line is crossed.”
Describing the incident with Sawalich, Legge said: “I stayed on my line and continued to make my speed.
She added: “He loaded a little too hard in the area, which is the difference in speed you see, and he raised a path in me.
Legge ran in the Cup series this season, making his debut in Phoenix last month. She participated in two previous seasons in the Xfinity series. The start of Rockingham was his first Xfinity race since July 2023.
