There is a number that in-n-out customers will not see on their reception-number 69.
“In-n-out will not give you the number 69 of your guest,” wrote the company in an article on social networks. “After number 68, he will go to the guest number 70.”
When someone asked why in the comments, the company replied: “Why do you think?” (Index: it refers to a chamber activity.)
Customers can always get the number 169 guest in the Drive-Thru window.
In-N-out is not the only company to jump certain figures. Many hotels, residential buildings and offices will jump the 13th floor due to the superstitious belief that the number is bad luck. They will label the 13th floor a different number or go from 12 to 14.
A man from Tennessee found the number “666” on his tax form W-2 and immediately left his job.
“I cannot accept this number. If you accept this number, you sell your soul to the devil,” said ABC News Walter Slonopas, 52, who was a maintenance worker at Contech Casting.
