One of the principles of being a fan of Miami Marlins is that the future will always be presented as the call. The marlins used to exchange stars after the star for prospects that could possibly become stars, and then be exchanged for more prospects. Logic and reason would lead the team’s fans to develop commitment problems, and in turn keep a long-distance promising player, knowing that his time with the Marlins is starting to end the second when he is starting to toder or hit like a machine.
Fortunately, “logic” and “reason” rarely exist in the sports fandom, which is why I believe that Agustín Ramírez will shine 1,000 and live forever. The 23 -year -old receiver came to southern Florida while another star left the Marlins: he was one of the prospects of New York Yankees in the trade for Jazz Chisholm Jr. last July. After a solid half of the season with the deliciously named affiliate Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, and a brief stint in the same club to start this year, Ramírez was called on Monday while the Marlins began a series of three games against the Cincinnati Reds. After only two games, Ramírez has already found himself in the franchise records, and he became the new promising young player to enjoy for an indefinite time. Given that it is only on the list due to injuries to the sensors Nick Fortes and Rob Brantly, the beginnings of Monster de Ramírez are money for a team that currently has few options behind marble.
After making a handset of 5 for 6 with two ball goals in a 6-3 victory on Monday and a victory of 4-3 on Tuesday, Ramírez became the first Marlins player to strike in complete safety in his first two games for the team. He also became the second Marlin to have managed to clean up one of his first two games with the team, after the Immortal Lewin Díaz did in 2020. It is not just the average of the stick of .833, or its hilarious and certainly durable ops. It is that Ramírez strikes the still loved morve of baseball.
Although nothing beats the sound of a well -struck home run – Stanton Giancarlo’s corollary “Mike”, if you want – there is a specific sound to tear a double which is just incomparable, and the three doubles of Ramírez were accompanied by an acoustic excellence. Make your choice, really: was the best sound double the ground rule in an 110-half hop that he struck on Monday evening? Or was it double RBI later in this same game? Personally, I prefer to double 111 mi / h on the line of the left field of yesterday. Just listen to this bat cracking:
Ramírez will not reach .833 for the rest of this week, but for a team that has little to do, it will have to do. This is the way of treating these lightning lightnings like Aristide Aquino or Yermín Mercedes: don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened. He is never quite worthy of enjoying the marlins, but these days, it’s less embarrassing than usual. I would prefer to get caught up in a heartbreaking recruit that in, let’s say, a ninth round of six points which nevertheless ends with defeat, which happened during the Marlins-Phillies match that I attended on Saturday. Even if I had a certain joy to hear a whole crowd of Philadelphia light Jordan Romano in real time, a loss is a loss.
Since this disappointment that I have witnessed in person, Miami has built a small sequence of three -game victories and slowly returns to 0,500; For a team that I expected to lose more than 100 games this season, an observable season was worth celebrated. The Marlins have a chance to sweep the Reds on Wednesday afternoon, although Ramírez will be seated outside the programming today. Like so many prospects for former marlins, I will be invested until it returns to reality or will be shipped for the next Ramírez-in-Wiing. Until then, the pleasure can be found in these quick oscillations and strike outright in double, the moments that make the link between the promise and the gain.
