Last summer, X was found in preliminary DSA violation for a misleading design and insufficient access to data and transparency, but that the finding has not yet led to a fine, nourishing the suspicions that Brussels is due to close ties between US President Donald Trump and the owner of X Elon Musk.
The leaders of American technology, like Mark Zuckerberg of Meta, pushed back the EU technological probes, arguing that they can be compared to prices in order to link the application of technological rules in the Trump trade war.
Earlier this week, the president of the Ursula von der Leyen commission told Politico that the block was ready to enforce her complete digital rules book, referring to probes under DMA and the DSA.
