Friday, the enthronement of Lex Luger at the WWE renowned temple was comforting for more than the obvious reasons.
Luger joined his compatriot 2025 enthroned triple H and Michelle McCool among the eight individuals devoted in WWE Lore at the Wrestlemania Week in Las Vegas. It was a long road to get there to Loger, and a lot feared never to reach due to many legal problems and battles with drug addiction. Luger’s health has decreased to such a degree that it became quadriplegic limited to the late 2000s, suffering from a minimal movement in the head and shoulders due to a cervical injury. He could raise his arms a little, but that was all – until the compatriot of the WWE renown temple, Diamond Dallas, came to his aid.

On Tuesday, the legendary duo detailed Luger’s recovery trip to the renowned temple on “The Ariel Helwani Show” in arowned. It all started when page was contacted by one of Luger’s former enemies, Erik Watts.
“Watts told me how Lex found Christ, he is a completely different person,” said page. “I say to myself: ‘brother, what are you talking about?
“(Watts insisted,)” I tell you, it’s true. “I’m going,” You hate him. Now I said to myself: “What?!” “
Watts told page an autograph signature event on page with MMA athletes and pro-Remède athletes involved. Page reminded that, but only really cared to see Luger, especially after what he had been told.

Upon his arrival, Page said that the promoter of the event called him in a panic, fearing that Luger had a heart attack or another fear of health in his hotel room. Due to the state of Luger, which was unknown at the time, the legend of WWE needed paramedical paramedics to break its door with a ram.
“Your breathing is compromised by a cervical injury, so I tried to move my head and my shoulders to eliminate the phone,” recalls Loger. “I don’t know what it would have done, but I panicked, and I came across the ground. It was like being in a metal costume in a bag that attracted me to the ground. I didn’t know what was going on. I thought I was dehydrated or something.”
Page said he arrived after Luger had already been helped and supported on a chair. Initially, Luger refused the idea of hospitalization, insisting that he was fine. At the time, from what the promoter said, page assumed a heart problem or perhaps a hip problem was the culprit, because Luger was waiting for a double hip replacement the following week.
“I’m going, ‘I came here to see you. It’s okay?’,” Said page. “I cuddle him, but I didn’t really notice that he hadn’t moved. Lex said:” Of course, I’m fine. “The EMT is like:” No, you don’t do it.

“I had no idea. So when he returned to the Shepherd Spinal Center here in Atlanta, my trading partner, Steve Yu, we started to film with Lex 17 years ago when it happened. So we make a documentary on this subject, and the reason for which Lex returned to want to work.
Page, a long -standing defender to help retirement wrestlers such as Jake “The Snake” Roberts and the late Scott Hall are rehabilitating their bodies, said the process was long and difficult, but Luger remained with it.
“We filmed all the videos every moment, and we will start to put them in place, because I was doing this to measure to what he could do, as opposed to what he could not do,” said page. “I would film it and sent it. Next week or the following week, it would come back to do more, and then he could do more. Then I said:” Try to get up. “He went to get up, and he could – at first, get up a little, and he was sitting.
“I said to him that day:” See if you can get up without touching anything. “And he couldn’t.

In the end, thanks to determination and dedication, Luger, 66, miraculously overthrew his health and can now stand up.
Friday, the ceremony of the WWE renown temple was an exciting moment – and an opportunity to show people that he was in a good place.
Unfortunately, Luger fell upon his arrival in Las Vegas, forcing a modification to his idea of initial presentation and his presence at Wrestlemania 41.

“We do our last training, I do the stand-up without hands,” said Luger. “We treat it, we understood everything. I was going to cross the scene with Dallas to the podium, go out on the chair, then cross the scene. Uber Driver drops my wife, Robin, and I went to the airport. She goes out on the other side. He panicked and moved my wheelchair. It was a hard fall.

“We hoped that it would happen in time for the renowned temple the following night, but it was just before I went out there. I said to Dallas (the plan) was a non-go.”
For Luger, it took the extremes he crossed to admit that he was surpassed despite his incredible reluctance. It also took the legend to find his lowest imaginable point before he knows that something should change if he wanted to prove that the skeptics are wrong.
The greatest doubt of all, however, was a luger himself.
“I heard that I was elected” most likely to be the next wrestler found in a hotel somewhere “, said Luger. “I read this time at the time, but when you cross it, you always think:” It’s my own body, I can do what I want with it. “I followed this path with drugs and alcohol and an excess, and I really made bad decisions.

“You hear in terms of rock bottom, end of your rope – I had to reach the point where I was so bad … where I said:” I cannot solve this problem. “God allowed me to be completely broken down.
“I was at that time. I was at the point of rupture where I was well broken to look for my eyes rather than around, and I think I had to solve it, because I was the problem.”
