Former Australian test cricket player Michael Slater sported a very different look while he was released from prison after being sentenced to a suspended prison sentence for a shocking list of domestic violence.
Slater received a four -year prison sentence for offenses of domestic violence, but was released from guard after serving more than a year behind bars.
Slater, 55, was sentenced to the district court of Maroochydore on Tuesday after pleading guilty to seven charges, including two women’s suffocation chiefs.
The accusations also included harassment, assault and burglaries and were linked to offenses committed on the Sunshine Coast du Queensland in December 2023.
He also sent a woman of abusive messages, the police by finding some when making a wellness check in Slater in March 2024.
Slater was photographed by leaving the Watchhouse Marochydore which seems very different from the way in which fans remember him, now sporting a thick and likely gray beard compared to his latest previous public appearances.

Judge Glen Cash sentenced Slater on Tuesday to four years’ imprisonment to be partially suspended after the time purged.
The rest of the Slater penalty is suspended for five years, during which he may be in police custody if he commits another serious offense.

The accusation in the case said Slater deserved a sentence “in the order of” five years in prison, with parole after three years.
Slater lawyer, Greg McGuire, argued that his client should receive a three -year stay behind bars and be released immediately.
“He wishes to return to New South Wales, where members of his family reside,” McGuire said in court.
“If he improves, it is entirely to him. It has been alcohol -free for a year.
Judge of the Supreme Court Paul Freeburn last August heard that Slater had a long history of mental health problems and a number of diagnoses, including alcohol consumption disorder.
Defense lawyer Gregory McGuire at the time pleaded for conditions of bail which included Slater moving to New South Wales and in rehabilitation.
“He was clearly in the grip of terrible alcohol dependence,” said Mr. McGuire.
After having done his debut during the 1993 Ashes tour, Slater played 74 tests for Australia, amassing 5312 points at an average of 42.83 with 14 tonnes.
