We are increasingly getting closer to knowing who will be the next class of the recruits of the Bengals of Cincinnati, because the draft of the NFL 2025 will begin on Thursday. Bengals have a lot of needs and without making trades, have only six selections this year, so maximizing the performance of these choices will be essential.
Bengals do this exactly with Jordan Reid’s latest ESPN draft.
Choice of 17, Reid asks Bengals to select the defensive striker from Oregon Ducks Derrick Harmon, to meet a need on the defensive line.
“Apart from the Rusher Edge Trey Hendrickson, who is still in a contractual dispute, the team has no coherent passes writing options. At 6 feet 5 inches and 313 pounds, Harmon is a great solid presence which can penetrate the first level and defend the race.
Reid sees Bengals keeping the defense in the second round, selecting Landon Jackson, defensive of Arkansas Razorbacks, who obtained first -round projections.
“After having obtained the Bengals a defensive tackle in turn 1, we will go Edge here. The 6 -foot 6 -inch jackson and 265 pounds has an ideal framework and was productive at university, with 6.5 bags in each of the last two seasons and 54 pressures (sixth in the dry) in this period.”
The addition of another passage of pass is probably in the plan, no matter what is happening with Trey Hendrickson and Reid to the Bengals which obtain one of the most intriguing rushers of the second round of the class.
The first offensive selection of Bengals in this model arrives in the third round, where Reid asks Bengals to select the offensive guard of Georgia Bulldogs Tate Ratledge. RATLEDGE goes higher than the choice of 81 in most simulations, but if the reid scenario takes place, the Bengals will obtain a player who could be a starter of the week 1. Ratledge also played next to the offensive platform of the Bengals Amarius Mims in their time with the Bulldogs, so that the chemistry can lead to Ratledge the replacement of Alex Cappa.
The last three choices are the Arizona State Running Back Cam Skattebo, LSU Zy Alexander and Clemson Safety RJ Mickens.
Not only do Bengals meet the flagrant needs in this simulation, they obtain excellent position value, and all the choices seem very realistic depending on the way Bengals have worked in recent years.
