There will be no drama at the top of the NFL 2025 draft.
The Titans locked themselves up on Cam Ward with choice n ° 1, reported NFL Network.
It has long been the belief around the league, but it was confirmed Tuesday morning after Tennessee closed the door to the use of the first selection.
“After months of speculation, the consensus around the league is that the titans will remain at n ° 1 and will choose, rather than the trade, say sources. No surprise. Decision made,” tweeted Ian Rapoport.
“There was a real commercial interest. But as a team said, “They have never opened the door”. All eyes on Cam Ward.
The star quarter of Miami separated from Shedeur Sanders in the months following the university football season because they were considered the two best quarters of the draft.
The consensus which begins to train in the star with a double -sense Travis Hunter which goes n ° 2 to the Browns and the giants who then won the defensive winger of Penn State Abdul Carter at n ° 3.
There is still room for these two choices to change – however, uncertainty is really expected with the patriots at n ° 4.
It is not known to what extent Sanders could fall with the former Colorado star considered one of the most polarizing perspectives for years.
The saints of n ° 9 and the Steelers, which remain on Aaron Rodgers Watch, in No. 21, are considered as the teams most likely to write Sanders.
However, a quarter-back team required an exchange in the draft to land Sanders if he exceeds the giants is always a possibility.
Ward, who was transferred from the state of Washington to Miami for his last university football season, launched 4,313 yards and 39 touched for the Hurricanes.
“Ward’s ability to move in the pocket, compose fast bullets and threaten as a runner makes him the biggest QB rising column this season,” wrote Matt Miller, expert in the ESPN project. “Several scouts told me that Ward was QB1 in the class. He assumed the first place in my quarter-back ranking thanks to his playing capacity, the experience (39 departures) and the talent of the high-end arms.”
Ward would probably be a starter of day 1 for Tennessee, with Will Levis Future in Doubt and Brandon Allen the quarter 2 on the depth board.
