With Dodger Stadium and Alamitos Beach joining the list on Tuesday, La28 almost finished its full place plan for the 2028 Olympic Games.
The organizing committee announced on Tuesday a updated place plan in which sites for all events except two have been revealed as the approach of games in less than three and a half years. The International Olympic Committee approved the master plan last week, with about half of the events staying in Los Angeles, gathering in three main centers.
“This plan brings games to all the corners of our city like never before – from the Sepulveda basin to the emblematic banks of Venice Beach, from our world -renowned neighborhoods as well as our hidden jewels will be fully exposed so that everyone can live and appreciate,” said Mayor Karen Bass in a press release. “And while we come together to prepare, we will help small businesses, create local jobs and implement sustainable improvements and transport that will leave an inheritance in our city for future generations.”
In the city center, baseball joins boxing, which will have preliminary towers at the Peacock Theater and Finals at Crypto.com Arena. The center of the city center of Lakers and Kings will also welcome artistic gymnastics, a move announced previously which brought the first sport of summer games in the host city after the initial plans that it had placed for the forum in Inglewood.
Rhythmic gymnastics was added Tuesday at the Galen Center Center in the USC Galen Center, which will also host the badminton. The third major of the Los Angeles Olympic Center in the Sepulveda basin officially added 3×3 basketball and modern pentathlon on Tuesday at the leisure center that will host the BMX and the Skateboard.
“We have promised the world of the incredible Olympic Games and today, we are proud to share the plan that will arrive there,” said the Director General of La28, Reynold Hoover, in a statement. “Los Angeles is the epicenter of sports, culture and entertainment, and each place selected for the 2028 games will offer athletes and the best possible experience.”
The five new sports offered for the Los Angeles Games now have places because Squash will make its Olympic debut at the universal studios lot. In its first Olympic competition since 1900, the cricket will take place at the Pomona Fair field. Softball, which will be in matches for the first time since 2008, will take place in the Devon Park of Oklahoma City, the 13,000 -seat stadium that welcomes Women’s College World Series each year.
After Los Angeles, Long Beach will be the second most invited site of site with 11 disciplines, highlighted by the addition of Beach-Volley beach on Tuesday in Alamitos Beach. The popular sport was originally reserved to stand near the emblematic pier of Santa Monica, but talks of several years between La28 and Santa Monica paraded while a deadline for the IOC approached for the meeting of the board of directors last week.
Other last -minute changes brought Equestrian to Santa Anita, who hosted the Olympic competitions in 1984. After the initial plans for a temporary installation in the Sepulveda basin were Nixés, Equestrian was supposed to go to Galway Downs of Temecula. The installation of 242 acres was approved during a vote of the Los Angeles Municipal Council in March, but was withdrawn from the day after the 28 approved its master plan by the IOC during a session in camera on April 9.

Long Beach will be used for swimming and sailing events of the marathon for the 2028 summer Olympic Games.

The plan had the main objectives not to build new permanent structures, maximize the host city of Los Angeles and try to bring together events in sports parks to facilitate logistical concerns.
While Huntington Beach was a possible destination for Beach Volley, the placement of sport in Long Beach puts it next to 10 other events, in particular coastal rowing at the seafront, target shooting in the Congress and Sports Center in the parking lot of the Congress Center, where a temporary swimming pool will house polo water and artistic swimming. The city organized several events during the 1984 Games, including Sailing, which will return to Belmont Shore in 2028.
Venice Beach has taken over the triathlon hosting Long Beach and will also be the starting points for the events of the marathon and cycling.
The last plans have placed archery in Dignity Health Sports Park, which already hosts the rugby tournament. The surrounding area also has tennis, track bike and grass hockey.
The County of Orange will have two sports, because the Anaheim Honda Center will host interior volleyball and the surfing will take place in Trestles Beach in San Clemente.
The only places that have not been publicly confirmed relate to the preliminary football and mountain biking. Similar in the format for the recent Olympic Games, the football group stage games should take place in stadiums across the country before returning to the pink Bowl for the medal sleeves.
