- The race for the construction of electric vehicles which can be loaded as quickly as it is necessary to fill up on a gas vehicle heats up.
- The Chinese company Catl showed a new battery on Monday, which, according to him, can add more than 500 km of reach.
- The Rival byd has also unveiled 5 -minute charges as Chinese companies and Tesla Battle for EV Dominance.
The EV load wars warm up – with a giant Catl battery revealing a new battery which, according to her, can surpass Byd and Tesla.
CATL launched an updated version of its Shenxing battery on Monday, which, according to him, allows electric vehicles to add 520 km (323 miles) of range in just five minutes of load.
The latest news saw Catl potentially tearing the advance in the world race to build EV batteries which can invoice at the same time necessary to fill a car of gas.
Motor manufacturers around the world are responsible for ultra-fast loads to convince people to buy electricity, with long charging times and range anxiety still quoted as some of the main reasons why people are reluctant to change.
The Chinese EV byd giant announced its own super fast load system last month, which is capable of adding 400 km (250 miles) in five minutes, while Tesla’s most advanced chargers can provide around 320 km (200 miles) of 15 minutes.
China quickly built a technological advantage. In the past year, Byd, Catl and Tesla Rival Zeekr have all demonstrated batteries that can charge in less than 15 minutes.
And Catl increased the bet by showing a multitude of peak batteries during its “Tech Day” event on Monday.
The company said that the second generation Shenxing battery was able to load ultra-fast at freezing temperatures, with electric vehicles.
In a demo in cold weather, CATL showed an electric car equipped with Shenxing loading from 5% to 80% in 15 minutes at temperatures of less than 10 degrees Celsius (14 degrees fahrenheit).
CATL also teased a sodium-ion battery cell called Naxtra, which, according to her, was more stable than traditional lithium-based batteries, and a series of double-power batteries which, according to them, could equip electric vehicles with up to 1,000 km of range.
The company based in Ningde is the largest battery manufacturer in the world and is preparing for a public list of several billion dollars in Hong Kong. CATL shares increased by more than 2% on Monday.
