Bowen Yang, a member of the cast of “Saturday Night Live”, ranks on the side of Aimee Lou Wood after the star of “White Lotus” was offended in his performance in the Sketch Show Tardif.
In an assembly with more, Yang said that he was “completely valid” so that Wood reacts how she did the sketch “The White Potus” and that feelings can often take the rear siege when the actors parody popular culture.
“However, (his reaction) to this sketch is completely valid,” said Yang. “With a parody, you somehow forget the kind of human and emotional cost that he somehow boasts on someone.”
“Everyone at ‘SNL’ is just a fan of the series, obviously a fan of her,” he added. “We just think she should be so proud of the work she put in the season, it was again the more glacous television that we desperately want. So, I have the impression that it is this thing that we tend to forget sometimes and it is a reminder and it seems that it has spoken to the people of the show on this subject and, hopefully, there is room to go too far. Take advantage of this instead of hitting your foot and saying that we should be able to say what we want.
The sketch “The White Potus”, which was broadcast on April 12, was mainly targeted on Donald Trump and his voters when the prices have reached the world economy. He presented James Austin Johnson as president, ChloĆ© Fineman as Melania Trump, Mikey Day as Donald Trump Jr. and Jon Hamm as Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Wood’s Chelsea was the only character of “White Lotus” who appeared in the pre-Pagine parody. Played by Sarah Sherman, she was represented with an exaggerated British accent and enlarged false teeth.
