He went more than 1,000 days between the victories, but Justin Thomas is finally back in mind.
Thomas sank a deep Birdie putt on the first hole in the playoffs to beat Andrew Novak and win the RBC legacy on Sunday afternoon. He pulled a 68 without Bogey, then broke out in a massive celebration on The Green after the first victory since the PGA 2022 championship.
With this victory also came a check for $ 3.6 million.

As the RBC Heritage is a signature event on the PGA Tour, it offered a $ 20 million handbag. It’s just shy from what the Masters offered last week, and tied with some of the biggest tour of the tour this season.
Thomas has painfully won in recent years. He had six TOP-10 on tour last season, including a finalist in the Zozo championship, and he also entered this week with a pair of finalists this season. Thomas finished second at the American Express in January, then again at the Valspar championship in March. He did not miss a single cup in 10 departures this season, and he has just finished T36 in Augusta National last week.
But Thomas was great this jump week. He equaled the course record Thursday with a 61 and held his first advance of 36 holes in almost four years after the Tour of Friday. He then stood late and, after Novak missed an 8 feet for the victory in settlement, perfectly managed the playoffs to finally win his victory.
Here is an overview of the quantity of Thomas and the rest of the field this week in Hilton Head, in South Carolina.
