The Celtic remains firmly on the CAP to obtain a ninth interior hat -trick after producing a five -star display against St Johnstone and reserve their place in the Scottish Cup final.
The men of Brendan Rodgers will return to Hampden on May 24 to face Aberdeen, who finally prevailed on hearts of nine men on Saturday afternoon to seal their place.
Captain Celtic Callum McGregor scored the first of the four goals in the first half in 12 extraordinary minutes to put his operational team, before Daizen Maeda was not marked on each side of a finish near Adam Idah.
The saints thought they had removed one back thanks to an amazing strike by Makenzie Kirk at the start of the second period, but the celebrations were interrupted after Var spotted a fault in the accumulation.
And their misery was aggravated when Jota added a fifth for a dominant Celtic in a few minutes after leaving the bench to round things up with style.
Here, Kevin McKenna Assesses the performances of the players on each side.
Celtic captain Callum McGregor began the first half’s first half score

Daizen Maeda added two other goals to his count when the attacker maintained his red heated shape

The Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has not yet tasted defeat in the Scottish Cup on two spells in charge
St Johnstone (4-3-2-1)
Andy Fisher – 5
Pharion easily with a number of long -range efforts. Had no chance with the goals when the team collapsed before him.
Sam Curtis – 4
Get the little enviable task to face a crawling maeda. Taken then that the form in shape was lagging behind to spin its first.
Sven Sprangler – 6
Put his head in the place where it hurts to initially keep Celtic remotely before the opening of the valves. The best of a bad group.
Daniels Balodis – 5
Taken nap under pressure from Maeda, and his side was three in descent a few seconds after the defender spits possession.
Barry Douglas – 4
The terrible kick led to the opening. Then, did not get closer enough to McGregor while the Celtic captain curled up.
Jason Holt – 5
Industrial performance as you can imagine, but barely approached one of his opponents in the midfield.
Victor Griffith – 4
Leave shadows while chasing while the game exceeded him. An afternoon that he will surely want to forget in a hurry.
Stephen Duke -McKenna – 4.5
Could have been a little faster to react to the bad kick of Douglas before the first goal. Had trouble getting stuck.
Graham Carey – 4.5
A couple of beautiful touches, but spent most of their time returning to their own goal. Ons obtained no attacks of attack.
Nicky Clark – 4
I tried to launch a few counterattacks in the opening district, but saw little ball while Celtic took control.
Adama Sidibeh – 4
U thankless task on his own forehead. Won the early corner but otherwise anonymous. Hung at the interval.
Substitutes: Kirk (Clark 46); Kimpioka (Sidibeh 46); Steven (Douglas 46); McPake (Carey 69); Ikpeazu (Duke-McKenna 75).
Not used: Sinclair, Svedberg, Watt.
Simo Valakari – 4
It was 90 minutes that he wanted to banish from memory.

Things could not have gets worse for the manager of St Johnstone Simo Valakari
Celtic (4-3-3)
Viljami Sinisalo – 5
The role resigned to that of a virtual spectator. Withdraw a magnificent backup, but an offside flag had already been increased.
Alistair Johnston – 6.5
Supplied with a wonderful cross to Jota to finish the scoring. Had absolutely nothing to do on the defensive.
Cameron Carter -Vickers – 6
As he does so often, the Americans crossed in the afternoon. I did not give a thumb to the delicate Sidibeh.
Liam Scales – 6
I passed most of the competition camped by the St Johnstone box. It seemed that each pass advanced.
Greg Taylor – 6
Silent but effective performance of the great-back. Given the head sign before Schlupp and justified his selection.
Callum McGregor – 8
Dictated things from start to finish and crowned a nice display with a great goal. At the heart of everything that is good for Celtic.
Arne Engels – 6
A number of unnecessary passes have brought early moans from the stands. Finally installed but barely put the heather on fire.
Reo Hatate – 8
The best Celtic player in the premiere dominant period. Three passes to his name and presented the show in the middle of the park.
James Forrest – 7
The surprise starter was alive throughout. Douglas is not lacking in problems and has linked well to Johnston.
Daizen Maeda – 7.5
Showed why he will clean the end of season prizes. Two compound finishes and was a constant threat.
Adam Idah – 7
Looked a little rusty from the start, but grew up in the game. Estimated deep to connect the game and went on the match sheet.
Substitutes: JOTA (Idah 64); Kuhn (Forrest 64); McCowan (Engels 64); Bernardo (Hatate 70); RALSTON (Johnston 77).
Not used: Bath, Schlupp, Trusty.
Brendan Rodgers – 8
Assured that his players were pumped from the first whistle.
Arbitrator: Callum Scott – 5
