The Dubai airline is by far the world’s largest operator in the A380. Emirates at 118, including 24 in storage or maintenance, according to CH-Aviation data.
Like its Middle East Airlines rival, the Emirates A380 is very luxurious – with business class passengers capable of visiting the bar or even reserving a shower.
The president of the airline, Tim Clark, told Bi earlier this year that he would like Airbus to build a new version of the A380 with more fuel economical engines.
