Washington (AP) – The federal judiciary warns that Congress does not provide enough money for the security of judges, at a time of climbing threats and frightening efforts to intimidation.
More than five dozen judges who manage the proceedings against the Trump administration receive “improved online security screening” which generally includes the cleaning of their personal information on the Internet, two federal judges appointed by republican presidents have written in the name of the judiciary in a letter to the conmining credit.
President Donald Trump, principal assistant Stephen Miller and billionaire Elon Musk, made the judges who blocked parts of Trump’s agenda, threatening dismissal and launching personal attacks. Trump’s call to dismiss the judge who temporarily interrupted deportations using a 18th century law caused a rare rapid response to Chief Judge John Roberts.
About 50 people were charged with crimes in threats, said US circuit judge Amy J. St. Eve and the American district Robert J. Conrad Jr. Trump appointed St. Eve at the Federal Court of Appeal of Chicago during his first mandate.
“In extreme cases, the American service of marshals was required to take extraordinary measures to ensure the safety of judges,” wrote St. Eve and Conrad.
The authorities have not yet arrested in hundreds of pizza deliveries more and more disturbing and unwanted to the houses of the judges and their children, the American district judge, Esther Salas, said on an online forum on Tuesday.
The most recent deliveries this week have been sent on behalf of the late son of Salas, Daniel Anderl, who was shot down to the family’s home by an unhappy lawyer in 2020.
The message is undoubtedly, said Salas. “” I know where you live, I know where your children live and want to end up like the Salas judge. Do you want to finish like his son? “” She said.
Last month, a sister of the Supreme Court Amy CONEY BARRETT was the victim of a threat of bomb in Charleston, in South Carolina, the police announced. No bomb has been found, the police said.
The judges’ letter was sent last week, but published online on Friday by the judiciary. He calls unbearable current financing levels, nearly $ 50 million less than the courts just required security.
