Springfield, MO. – The security of the state of the Missouri, Todric McGee, died early on Saturday from the authorities that the authorities say they are an accidental and self -inflicted ball injury. He was 21 years old.
Cris Swaters, spokesperson for the Springfield police department, said the police responded to a wellness check found McGee at his home on Friday morning.
“He was transported to hospital with serious injuries where he died later. This is an active investigation,” Swaters said in an email.
The university reported his death on Saturday, saying he died early on Saturday from injury he had suffered at home on Friday.
McGee entered his fifth season with the Bears and was the security of departure in 2023 and 2024. He won the honors of all the conferences in 2023.
“Our football family is in shock and in mourning to the loss of Todric,” said head coach Ryan Beard in the press release. He asked people to respect the intimacy of the McGee family and the football team, adding: “Join us to pray for Todric and the people who loved him.”
McGee grew up in Wichita, Kansas, and graduated from the Wichita Northwest high school.
