The real reason for the WWE replacing Bayley in his match planned in Wrestlemania 41 Night Two has been revealed.
Bayley was originally to team up with Lyra Valkyria to challenge the WWE women’s team championship against reigning champions, Liv Morgan and Rodriguez. However, during the countdown for the night of the night, WWE broadcast an angle where Bayley was attacked behind the scenes.
While Morgan and Rodriguez denied being the attackers, Adam Pearce said Bayley would not be able to participate in the match. Pearce then gave Lyra Valkyria 24 hours to find a new label team partner, and the match would take place as planned.
According to a report by Pwinsider Elite, this scenario and the abolition of Bayley were not due to a real injury but were part of a story provided for weeks. There would have been a certain sympathy in the locker rooms of his talent colleagues when the news broke out. Again, Bayley is not hurt.
Valkyria’s new partner should be officially revealed tomorrow, a probable candidate being a return Becky, who is in Las Vegas and has a story with Valkyria and Morgan.
The withdrawal of Bayley marks the third change to the Wrestlemania 41 à la carte, after the unforeseen injuries to Kevin Owens and Rey Mysterio. Unlike the absences of Bayley, Owens and Mysterio were due to legitimate injuries. Although Owens’ replacement for his match against Randy Orton was not confirmed, we now know that El Grande Americano will face Rey Fenix instead of Mysterio.
