Of all the ceremonies of the WWE renown temple that the company has ever had, it was certainly one of them.
What else is to say about a three-hour and a half event where almost half of the program is dedicated to renting a person, who also happens to be one of the business honest?
Triple H dominated the ceremony on Friday evening, obtaining a video package at mid-spectacle to remind everyone of the main event, then having a video / induction / acceptance trifecta that consumed the last 90 minutes of the event. Whatever the remarks of the Humble HHH, the volume of time canceled this.
Overall, the ceremony was a positive departure from last year’s debacle, where the fans deposited mass after the headliner (Paul Heyman) led the event, forcing WWE to turn the house lights spectacularly and ask the fans to descend upper levels to fill the lower bowl.
The event also presented several comforting moments involving enthronement, notably Lex Luger rising from the wheelchair to which he has been confined for years and making his remarks while standing.
WWE has also started an excellent idea by inducing an “immortal moment” for the first time, which, hopefully, will allow them to avoid filling these ceremonies with less deserving superstars and rather focusing on the really exceptional.
Let’s go …
