Gary Lineker revealed what an expert match of the day he misses the most when he is preparing to leave the flagship show of the BBC.
Lineker, 64, will leave the program at the end of the season after 26 years in the emblematic chair, after having replaced the old anchor of the Lynam in 1999.
He will stay with the broadcasting giant to host the next FA Cup game campaign and will also be before their World Cup coverage in 2026 before retiring.
Lineker worked alongside a number of experts on Match of the Day – but he admitted that he would particularly miss the company of a particular guest.
Alan Shearer and Micah Richards were excluded, however, the duo to continue to appear alongside Lineker on their popular podcast, the rest is football.
Addressing Fourfourtwo, Lineker said: “It is useless to say Alan or Micah, because I will always work with them. I don’t like any of the others!

He then added: “It’s a joke … Danny Murphy will miss, a really underestimated expert, analytically good and always fun to be there.”
Murphy, who played for Liverpool between 1997 and 2004 and won nine senior ceilings for England, appeared for the first time in the program in August 2013.
The 48 -year -old was a regular in the studio and made more than 170 invited appearances, just 22 timids from the Alan Hansen day icon.
He is also a Sport Mail The columnist, frequently giving an invaluable overview of the biggest discussion points of the game – and works with BBC 5Live and Talksport.
Lineker will be replaced by no less than three hosts, he was confirmed in January.
Kelly Cates of Sky Sports and the regulars of the BBC Mark Chapman and Gabby Logan will all share the role and will turn out of the prestigious hot seat.
Giving his verdict on the decision, Lineker told Fourfourtwo: “It is probably due to the fact that it is a massive commitment.
“These three all have families, and if you say that someone will do it for the next ten or 20 years, your weekends have left.

“Maybe that’s it, I don’t know. I was not involved in any of this.
“I consider him a compliment they have named three, but I suspect that it is not because of it.
“I haven’t seen them yet to talk to them, but I will do it.
“They will go well and they will do a great job. I have known them all for years, these are the best presenters.
