- Melbourne Storm took an advance from the beginning of 16-2
- Then handed the following seven trials
- The coach was amazed by the result
It is not often that Craig Bellamy is lost for words, but the champion coach of Melbourne Storm could barely bring together a reaction after his team was surrounded 42-16 by the dolphins on Good Friday.
The Dolphins amazed Melbourne in an extraordinary return victory, with Half Isaiya Katoa putting a masterclass.
By dragging 16-2 after 20 minutes at the Suncorp Stadium, the Dolphins scored 40 unanswered points on Good Friday in the greatest performance of their short history.
And a Bellamy Shellchocked was short to explain how it happened.
“Yeah, F ***, really disappointed. I do not remember having trained a storm side which was 16-2, then had 40 in a row. It’s embarrassing, ”said Bellamy.
“But I hope we learn. It will be a difficult day of revision. I don’t know what to say, it was really disappointing.

Dolphins stacked in seven trials unanswered to ensuring a massive victory over the major finalists of last year

Storm players, including Ryan Papenhuyzen, could not believe what they saw in the dramatic return of Dolphins
“ Jahrome (Hughes) just had a good time in the locker room that we won our games from our attack, to be completely honest and today we had to overflow defensively because we continued to return the ball and we just couldn’t do it.
“It is a great concern to rely solely on your attack. We were a little aware of it, that our defense was not as good as we would like.
“These are probably more individuals, to be honest, but I just have to take a look where we think the problems are and there are some problems.
“After the match, I thought it may be a complacency after getting this kind of departure and simply putting the slippers.
“We will make our opinion and we need players for reasons why this evening could have occurred.”
For the dolphins, Katoa, 21, had five assists and ahead of the opposite number Jahrome Hughes in a performance which affected him as the best young playmaker in the LNR.
Hard striker Ray Stone, with two trials, and the unleashed accessory Josh Kerr, in his 100th LNR match, have had the best games in their careers. It was the first Dolphins’ victory against the storm.
The storm was completely amazed by the hosts, who blew them from the park with an exhaust attack and a steel defense.

Dolphins coach Kristian Woolf has now won three consecutive victories and overturned his season
“I am really proud of our guys,” said Dolphins coach Kristian Woolf after the third victory of his consecutive team.
“At 16-2, it could have been a very different game.
“We were ready for the fight and when we had our opportunities, we did something. We were exceptional in the second period.
The storm had won 79 of her 80 previous games during the 14 -point head.
There was a carnage of injuries with the center of storm Jack Howarth dislocating a shoulder in the 17th minute, after the Dolphins striker Max Plath, underwent a foot injury two minutes earlier.
The Dolphins striker, Felise Kaufusi, also made a knee injury which, according to Woolf, had been diagnosed as an MCL.
