The authorities recently published a new cache of files in the investigation into death on Gene Hackman and Betsy Arakawa – including a series of sincere notes that the couple left against each other, revealing the very united nature of their relationship even though Hackman’s health decreased in the middle of a battle with Alzheimer.
The letters are sometimes humorous, sad, moving and banal, offering an overview of the private and loving life that the couple led before being found dead in their compound of Santa Fe in February.
The Oscar -winning actor affectionately signed most of the letters “Love G” and referred to Arakawa, his 33 -year -old wife, as “charming girl”.
Included in Gene Hackman and Betsy Arakawa Death Investigation are photos of letters that the couple has exchanged.

In some letters, he seemed to make fun of his deteriorating memory.
“I go to this building in front of the hot water where you sit down and do everything people are supposed to do in such a building-I may remember once I got there,” he wrote, signing the letter “Love Whats His Name.”
In another letter, he wrote a joke poem that may have referred to a medical examination, saying: “I leave the sorcerer, the magician of Aachie Pokie. She stabs me here, she stabs me there, she stabs me almost everywhere. ”
“But I will survive, because after I am still alive,” continues the note. “(But sometimes just) like G.”
Hackman, 95, relied on Arakawa, 65, as the only caregiver in his last years in life. Other evidence photographed around the house showed its detailed notes on the doses and the calendar of hackman medicines as well as on the files she has held from her medical appointments in her calendar.
In a letter, Hackman wished that Arakawa “is happy several days after your birthday” and wrote “Sorry always for dinner and have to ask for your help although it was appreciated”.

The letters revealed in the investigation are sad humorous and often banal.

Arakawa also left notes written for Hackman around the house, recalling it where she was going and what she was doing.
In a letter, she wrote that she was taking their dog Zin during obedience and that she had left her a puzzle on the table. Another letter stuck on the wall simply read: “Yoga 12:30 pm”
Arakawa died around February 11 of Hantavirus pulmonary syndrome, a rare respiratory disease and often fatal by rodents, according to the office of the medical investigator of the New Mexico. In an environmental assessment, investigators found rodent excrement, dead rodents and nests in the structures of their property; However, there was no proof of rodents found in their main house.
Hackman died several days later from the complications of advanced Alzheimer’s disease, kidney disease and heart disease, according to the medical investigator. Authorities think he may have wandered the House for several days without knowing Arakawa’s death and unable to get help due to the advanced state of his illness.
One of the couple’s three dogs, an Australian Kelpie mixture named Zinna, was found dead in a box in their house when the couple was discovered on February 26.
A necropsy revealed that Zinna died of dehydration and famine because of her confusion. The other two dogs, which were able to browse the property, were found alive and taken care of.
Recently published photos of the survey showed that the couple displayed dozens of agility ribbons earned by their dogs at home.
In addition to the new photos of the house and letters, the Santa Fe sheriff’s office has published a bodily camera video, an environmental assessment and a full investigation report this week.
A judge of the state of the New Mexico had temporarily blocked the publication of any file of the investigation into the death at the request of the Hackman domain. On March 31, however, a judge judged that the investigation files could be not sealed as long as they did not clearly show the couple’s body.
