Actor Haley Joel Osment was accused of the offense of being under the influence of public alcohol and possession of cocaine after his arrest in California this month, the office of the County of Mono’s District Prosecutor announced on Thursday.
Osment, 37, who played a boy who can see ghosts in the 1999 film “The Sixth Sense” and other roles later in life, was arrested on April 8 in Mammoth Mountain.
He must be in court on July 7, said the district prosecutor’s office.
Online judicial archives are not available in the county of Mono, and it was not clear if Osment had a lawyer in the case that could speak on his behalf on Thursday evening.
The declaration of the district prosecutor on the accusations has not detailed the allegations.
Celebrity News’ website TMZ reported that Osment was arrested at Magic Mountain’s ski resort after someone reported a bit of drunkenness and after investigating the ski patrol.
He is accused of a disorderly leadership: under the influence of alcohol in public and a chief of cocaine, said the district prosecutor’s office.
