An original Emily in Paris The actor leaves, but it may not be who you think that the three romantic interests of Emily (Lily Collins) will be back next season. This includes Og Flame Gabriel, played by Lucas Bravo, after months of speculation if the actor will continue on the show.
Announcing a start of production in May in season 5 – first in Rome and then in Paris – for a first in 2025, Netflix confirmed the return cast for the new episode. It includes Season 3 Series Regulars Collins (Emily Cooper), Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Sylvie Greteau), Ashley Park (Mindy Chen), Bravo (Gabriel), Samuel Arnold (Julien), Bruno Gouery (Luc) and William Abadie (Antoine Lambert) as well as lucien laviscount as Emily’s Train Boyfriend Alfie, Who, As Deadline reported in January, Will Be returning full time next season, and Eugenio Franceschini (Marcello) which was presented in season 4 as a new recurring character. No more words on the new new addition Thalia Besson (Geneviève) which can also join them.
The list suggests that Franceschini, whose Italian heir Marcello Romancait Emily at the end of season 4, may have been promoted to the series regular, although Netflix would not reveal the status of the return distribution beyond confirming that everything will be in several episodes.
Camille Razat, who had been a regular in the series, who had been a regular in the series during the first four seasons as Camille, Emily’s friend, and the main rival of Gabriel’s heart. It is not surprising because Camille packed and left towards the end of season 4 after a last blow in a relationship with Gabriel under false pretexts when she simulated a pregnancy.
Asking for the deadline at the time of release of season 4 in September if Alfie and Camille were both out of the photo, Emily in Paris Creator Darren Star said: “Not necessarily. I mean people go and come out of people’s lives in shows for a while, but that does not mean that they are out of the table.”
It is not clear if Alfie will be back for work, love or both. His boss Antoine also returns next season, and the last time we saw Alfie, he had gone from Emily with a new girlfriend, however Emily in Paris is known to keep the novels in progress.
Questions about Bravo’s return for season 5 began to circulate in October when the actor admitted publicly that he was not sure that he wanted to continue, admitting that he felt “frustrated” and playing Gabriel was no longer “more fun” because the character was “to transform slowly into Guacamole”.
As the Deadline reported in January, while the American series generally have members of the regular distribution of the series by virtue of multi -year contracts, they have no options on French actors like Bravo, it therefore had to connect to return. At the time, conversations with the actor had already started and moved in a positive direction.

As expected, since Emily was invited to move to Rome to work at the end of the final of season 4, season 5 will start production in Rome, in May before moving to Paris later in summer.
“She has not changed her Instagram handle for Emily in Rome. She sometimes works in Rome. Sylvie’s company has an office in Rome. Emily gets her standing,” Star told Deadline in September. “I do not necessarily think that this means a permanent move – in my mind, it is certainly not a permanent move in Rome. We do not leave Paris.”
It will be a very fast reversal because Netflix confirmed that, as announced in January, season 5 will be presented in first in 2025.
