Hamilton Accies is on the verge of relegation after being hammered with a deduction of 15 points and a fine of £ 9,000 for several violations of SPFL rules.
The championship club was responsible for not having informed the SPFL of remuneration defects, incorrect information on the property of the stadium, the demotion of their SFA Club license and the late arrangement of their submission of membership criteria for next season.
Sitting at the seventh row of the division at ten teams before the announcement of the punishment yesterday, access was immersed in the point of automatic relegation with only three games to play.
They are now at eight points behind the Ardrieonians whom they replace at the bottom of the table.
With nine points to play, there is always an external chance that the access of John Rankin can escape automatic relegation, but they seem certain to embark on Ligue 1 for next season.
If the Lanarkshire team fails to beat Queen’s Park at home tomorrow, their demotion will be confirmed.
They welcome Livingston next Saturday and conclude the regular season with a trip to the fugue leaders in Falkirk on Friday May 2.
