It was a divorced disorder jets from the point of view of Aaron Rodgers.
The 41-year-old quarterrier broke his silence on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Thursday and embarrassed the New Jets coach Aaron Glenn and how he and the team managed their decision to go from him.
Rodgers said that he had stolen across the country of California in New Jersey for what he expected to be a long meeting on February 9 about his future.
Instead, Rodgers said that the jets had ended the meeting after 40 minutes and it started with Glenn “short of the room” to ensure that General Manager Darren Mougey.
“It was a bit strange …” said Rodgers. “I think we are going to have this long conversation. I stole across the country and 20 seconds, it goes and leans at the edge of its seat and says: “So, do you want to play football? And I say to myself: “Yeah, I’m interested.” And he said: “We are going in a different direction in the quarter-Arrière”.
“I was a bit shocked. Not shocked because I did not think it was a possibility, but shocked because I have just stolen across the country and you could have told me by phone. “
Rodgers said the only concern of the jets was how he wanted the information published and “messaging” came with the announcement.

Rodgers said Glenn was concerned that Rodgers “would undermine” his message to the team if he was part of the list – and described a controversial conversation between the two.
“It was a very strange meeting, for sure,” Rodgers. “There was no me to plead:” Please, have me in the team. ” I don’t want to be part of it.
Rodgers said he spoke to Mougey later and was very complementary to Christopher Johnson, the brother of the owner Woody Johnson.
Glenn was tightened by the jets’ decision to separate with Rodgers – and agitated when he was questioned on the NFL screening combination several times.
“I do not want to disrespect any of the other players we have in our team,” said Glenn. “It pisses me off and some of the other players we are all talking about. You have Quinnen Williams. You have Quincy Williams. You have (Alijah Vera-Tuker). You have Joe Tippmann. All these guys must be respected as regards games. ”
Rodgers spent two years with the team – one that ended after four games due to an injury from Achilles and another which was disappointing 5-12.
Head coach Robert Saleh and Managing Director Joe Douglas were both dismissed during the lamentable campaign of 2024 and replaced by Glenn and Mougey.
This is Glenn’s first head coach position after spending the last four seasons as a defensive coordinator of the Lions.
Rodgers did not decided which team he will then play – or if he will play in 2025 – because he detailed in McAfee that he is dealing with serious problems in his personal life.
The Steelers seem the most logical destination, if the Rodgers choose to return to the NFL.
