More details have emerged concerning the allegation of sexual assault against the former Receiver of Texas and the 2025 draft, Isaiah Bond.
Ben Sawyers of WFAA.com has obtained an affidavit of the alleged victim. She says Bond sent her a direct message to Instagram. She said they had started sending SMS. According to the report, “the affidavit says that their textual conversations then turned to mutual discussions about having sex and engaging in one act, which the victim said that he would consider.”
She said they met on February 4 and started a consensual sexual meeting. Bond would have “mentioned the notion of the act they had previously discussed in their text exchanges”. She would have said that she “was not comfortable trying”. According to the Affidavit, she claims that Bond “still started to engage in this act”.
According to the report, “the document says that the woman asked that Bond stopped while physically removing her from her and telling her that she was suffering, but that Bond continued the act while using her body weight against her and covering her mouth.”
After the end of the meeting, Bond would have said: “Alcohol makes me do things.” He also asked him to sign a non-disclosure agreement. She refused.
She claims that he then offered a payment, by SMS.
The initial police meeting of February 6 led to the alleged victim to engage in a “pretextual interview” with Bond, during which she asked him excuses by SMS. During the exchange of text, he did.
Bond denied allegations, calling them “manifestly false”.
The impact of the situation on the Bond status project remains to be seen. His more immediate problem is not the threat to his job but the threat to his freedom.
