“Euphoria” actor and old “Grey’s Anatomy” Veteran Eric Dane announced that he had a SLA but will continue to work.
Dane, 52, revealed his diagnosis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, a progressive disease that attacks nerve cells controlling the muscles throughout the body and is also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, in a Interview with People Magazine THURSDAY.
“I feel lucky that I can continue to work and I can’t wait to go back to a set of euphoria next week,” he said. “I kindly ask you to give my family and myself during this period.”
The 52 -year -old actor is married to actor Rebecca Gayheart and the couple shares two children, Billie Beatrice, 15, and Georgia Geraldine, 13. Gayheart asked for divorce in 2018, but was deposited to reject the petition earlier this year, media reported.
“Euphoria” should resume shooting this month. The Dane publicist did not immediately return a message from the Associated Press.
SLA is gradually destroying the nerve cells and the connections necessary to walk, speak, speak and breathe. Most patients die within three to five years of diagnosis.
