Jaime King spoke of losing custody of his two children, saying that she finds that the childcare system is “terrifying”.
King shared his “frightening” reality after his ex-husband Kyle Newman obtained the complete physical guard of their sons James, 11, and Leo, 9, during an appearance on the podcast “Whine Down With Jana Kramer”.
“My duty as a mother is to protect my children. And that’s all that matters to me. It’s scary,” said the star of “Hart of Dixie”.
Kramer has already been involved in a bitter battle with his ex-husband Mike Caussin on their two children.
The couple opened on their respective experiences when King admitted that she was not aware of how the world works when she was too young.
“I just didn’t know when I got married at a young age,” she said. “I just didn’t know the world is working like that. I did not know that legal systems work like that. ”
“And not to look like a kind of neophyte, but I thought, you know, when you choose to love someone, then you like this person. You build a family with them and, you trust them,” added King.
Kramer, 41, agreed with actress “White Chicks” on the traps of the legal system.
“I have had abusive relationships in the past and, you know, even in the comments of the system, is very spoiled, and what they do to women and how they can turn it on us is breathtaking,” added the alum “one tree hill”.
King also allegedly alleged that his ex-Marin had distorted the first days of their relationship before the court in a desperate attempt to be granted.
“It’s terrifying, when you can be free means that you have to pay a very extreme price, and I’m not just talking about financially,” she said.
“It is very overwhelming, and I will do everything in my power to change this system, and it is not a will. I will do it. There is no price to pay for freedom.”
A judge ruled that King and Newman, 49, will share the legal guard of their two children, but the filmmaker will have exclusive physical guard.
King received visitors, but it should be supervised and could only see boys three times a week. In addition to the supervised visits, King had been ordered to finish six months of rehabilitation for drugs and alcohol.
Her childcare agreement was dramatically changed after she did not finish a six -month -old drug and alcohol program that consisted of weekly tests, a 26 -week parental program and individual and joint advice with her children.
“I never had to think of myself as sober or not.
In October 2024, Newman asked for the unique custody of children after saying that he had found his ex-wife “tense” and “drunk” while looking at their sons.
The ex was locked in a long legal battle on finance and guard when King asked for divorce in 2020 after 13 years of marriage. They finally settled their divorce in 2023.
Last month, King broke his silence after being forced to leave his Pad Los Angeles for granted more than $ 42,000 in a rear rent.
