Washington (AP) – Donald Trump undergoes his annual physique on Friday, potentially giving the public his first details for years on the health of a man who, in January, became the oldest in American history to be sworn as president.
“I never felt better, but nevertheless, these things must be done!” Trump, 78, has published on his social media site.
Despite the long interrogation on the physical and mental capacities of the predecessor Joe Biden, Trump has regularly kept fundamental facts on his own health wrapped in secrecy – far from traditional presidential transparency on medical issues.
If history is an indication, his latest physique is likely to produce a flattering relationship which is rare on details. He will be carried out at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and will be the first public information on the health of Trump since an assassination attempt against him in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July.
Rather than publishing medical records at that time, the representative of Texas Ronny Jackson – a fervent supporter who was his White House doctor and has already joked in the white house news room that Trump could live to be 200 if he was a healthier diet – wrote a memo describing a ball injury to Trump’s right ear.
In a later interview with CBS last August, Trump said that he would “very gladly” publish his medical records but that I have never done it.
Trump is three years younger than Biden. But on the day of the inauguration of his second term in January, Trump was five months older than Biden during his inauguration in 2021 – making Trump the oldest president of the nation to be sworn.
Before Jackson’s memo, the Americans had not seen key details on Trump’s health since November 2023, when Dr. Bruce A. Aronwald published a letter to coincide with Biden’s 81st anniversary, saying Trump was in “excellent” physical and mental health.
The letter, published on Trump’s social media platform, contained no details – such as the rate of weight, blood pressure and cholesterol of the republican, or the results of any test. Instead, Aronwlad wrote that he had examined Trump this fall and found that his “physical exams were in the normal range and that his cognitive examinations were exceptional”, while noting that Trump had “reduced his weight”.
Trump was treated in Walter Reed for his serious fight with the coronavirus in 2020.
After Trump recovered, more details appeared that he had been more patient than he had left him.
But Trump largely refused to say more about his health at the time, rather submitting to a medical “evaluation” and an interview “and an interview on Fox News Channel. This was led by Dr. Marc Siegel, a contributor to Fox News who questioned Hillary Clinton’s physical capacity to serve as president in 2016 and then urged the White House Biden to test the cognitive acuity of the then.
In November 2019, Trump’s trip to Walter Reed for a physique was omitted from his public schedule, breaking the White House protocol to give a public opinion in advance.
The visit was revealed three days later, Trump revealing that he had a “very routine physique”. The White House published a later declaration by the doctor then the doctor, the American navy CMDR. Sean Conley, saying that it was a “provisional assessment planned”, kept “the file” because of planning uncertainties.
We can say that Trump’s most famous past comments on his own health came during a television interview in July 2020, when he listed “Person. Woman. Man. Camera. TV »while trying to demonstrate its cognitive capacities.
Trump said that a collection of these five names, or those like them, said in order, demonstrated the mental form and was part of a cognitive test he had.
