Washington’s capitals announced today that the location of the GR8 City celebration has gone from Union Station to Capital Onena to Washington, DC, the location was moved to accommodate an increased quantity of fans. Fans who plan to attend are invited to RSVP on washing washed.com/ovicelebration. The doors will open at 3 p.m.
Friday, April 11, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., the Capitals welcome the celebration of GR8 City, a fan event in Capital One Arena in honor of Alex Ovechkin. Ovechkin will be present, with Nicklas Backstrom, TJ Oshie and the owner of the capital Ted Leonsis. Programming on stage will start at 4 p.m. with the guests Tarik El-Bashir and Craig Laughlin of Monumental Sports Network. The event will also include remarks by Ovechkin, Backstrom, Oshie and Leonsis.
This interior event is free and open to the general public. Participants can take advantage of photos, interactive stations, gifts, appearances of former students and much more. There will also be gifts, including ovi fat heads on a stick, stupids, buttons, GR8ness t-shirts and additional items.
