Hello and welcome to our live cover. The British Secretary for Defense, John Healey, is in Brussels where he co -chaired a meeting of 50 nations with his German counterpart Boris Pistorius to discuss additional military aid for Ukraine.
The Ukraine Defense Contact Group, made up of kyiv’s allies, will meet this morning at NATO headquarters.
Overnight, the British government announced an additional 450 million pounds of military support in kyiv (350 million pounds from the United Kingdom Sterling) to, in the words of Healey, to “pile pressure” on Vladimir Putin and to force it to end the invasion of its neighbor.

Elsewhere, Chancellor Rachel Reeves will hold separate talks with the EU to work more closely on defense expenses.
