On April 8 The president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, published a video on X who, according to him, showed one of the two Chinese citizens captured by the Ukrainian forces while fighting for Russia. China now supported Russia militarily, he added in a press briefing and “the United States of America should be careful”. The next day, he published a second video of the two men, who gave their name as Zhang Renbo and Wang Guangjun, and photos of their Chinese passports. Mr. Zelensky said that Ukraine knows more than 150 Chinese nationals who fight on the side of Russia.
