A 23 -year -old man who was fatally stabbed after allegedly threatened to attack his girlfriend and kicked the front door of Grant Hill was identified on Wednesday.
The police first responded to the incident after receiving a call from a woman who said that the boyfriend’s boyfriend tried to make his way in the house the 28th and K and K Streets around 12:40 p.m. on Saturday, said Police Lieutenant in San Diego, Lieutenant Jonathan Dungan.
Police arrived and found Joshua Cruz suffering from at least one stab wound at his chest, Dungan said.
He was taken to the hospital, where he died.
Investigators said they learned later that Cruz, who did not live at home, had broken down the door and threatened to injure his girlfriend, who was inside the house.
Once inside, he was stabbed, said Dungan. It was not clear if Cruz had been stabbed by his girlfriend or by the other woman on the scene.
The two women were at home when the police arrived. One of the 23 -year -old women was temporarily owned but not arrested while waiting for a more in -depth investigation. The police did not provide his name.
“The detectives are currently investigating what has led to combat and stab wounds, and the precise actions of all those involved,” said Dungan. “This will include the collection of video evidence, the interview with witnesses and a detailed examination and an analysis of the physical scene.”
