Kansas City chiefs could use a security position after losing Justin Reid this off -season. One of the best names available at the post is Justin Simmons, a man who knows the chefs too much.
Simmons was good enough against Patrick Mahomes, intercepting the triple quarter-Arrière winner of the Super Bowl six times. When he was asked if he would be interested in joining the heads of Mahomas, Simmons did not hug the reason why he preferred not.
“This is where my heart is torn,” Simmons told Kay Adams Up & Adams. “I have always been so publicly against Kansas City, and it’s because it’s a very good team. It’s not like a real one, “hey, I just want to beat them. It’s just anchored in me to beat them.
Justin Simmons explains why he doesn’t want to join the chefs
While Simmons had a personal success against Mahmes, his teams did not behave well against the chiefs since Mahomes took over as a starting quarter. The long -standing Bronco and then Falcon in the short term has only one victory against the chiefs, so frustration towards them is perfectly logical.
Simmons underlined Josh Jacobs’ attitude to the chefs when he was a free agent, not wanting to sign with Kansas City because he used to play against them and wanted to beat them.
“Honestly, I feel exactly the same thing. And so, do I close this door? I close it? No. But I just want to be the team that beats them.”
Although Simmons said that he was not sure to eliminate the signature with them, it seems that he prefers that he is in a team that has a chance to compete with the chiefs. Given how long Simmons has played Denver, it is logical that he does not like KC, especially given how the chiefs beat the broncos during the time of Simmons there.
As mentioned above, the Simmons broncos only beat the chiefs once and it came during the back half of the 2023 season when Mahomas did not feel well. Simmons was then a victim of Denver Cascy last off -season and signed a one -year agreement with Atlanta where he had to face the chiefs. He intercepted Mahomes once in this match, but the Falcons finally lost.
While Simmons would give the chiefs a nice veteran option to have in their secondary, it does not seem that fans should obtain their hope on a potential truce that occurs.
