There is no schedule or events set at the two -day rally, warns Dave Shenkman, owner of Kite Connection on the Huntington Beach pier and founder of the Kite Party event. Just some of the best deer leaflets in the world, who come from all over the world, who hang out for a party on the sand, the kite in hand.
“It’s just to spend time, kite,” said Shenkman.

Shenkman began the “gathering” 21 years ago when he asked on an online forum if people appeared if he could get a blocked sand section.
Now, more than two decades later, it has become the essential place of the best deer leaflets in the world to present their skills, some traveling from across the country and with regard to the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada and beyond.
Shenkman caps the number of participants at 100, and each year, the registration fills up, although the leaflets and spectators of occasional kite is invited to participate in the pleasure outside the cut areas.
The beaches are among the best places in the world and the most popular for deer festivals.
“But there is only one kite party in the world, and that’s it,” said Shenkman. “It has become the world of renown in the world.”
