According to Paul Scholes, Alejandro Garnacho “sulk” after being substituted for the draw for Manchester United with Real Sociedad.
The poor form of United continued Thursday evening when they drew 1-1 with the Laliga team in the Europa League, with the opener of Joshua Zirkzee canceled following a handball by Bruno Fernandes.
Handball has led to a penalty that the Spanish hero of Euro 2024 Mikel Oyarzabal put aside to win a draw a draw, which they will bring to Old Trafford next week in the return leg of the last confrontation.
The Red Devils head coach Ruben Amorim blamed fatigue for the drop in performance over the match, United leaving five unused team spots due to injuries and players leaving the club.
He was largely unable to make changes, with a mainly unused juvenile bench – just Toby Collyer, 21, was presented from the list of young people, with Victor Lindelof and Christian Eriksen also caused in the second period.
Zirkzee, Leny Yoro and Garnacho were the players withdrawn, and it was the last, according to Scholes, who sulked on the bench.

Garnacho had started the match but United was struggling in front of the goal, pulling 1-1

Garnacho clashed with Ruben Amorim earlier this season and raised the eyebrows against Ipswich

Scholes (left) said the attacker will have to improve, while Karen Carney (right) jumped on his defense on Punditry
“He seemed to sulk a little for me,” said Scholes on TNT Sports. “I have no fatigue. I think they are doing well. I think there are big legs in this team from Man United.
“Garnacho’s greatest strength is to cross. Sometimes he makes bad decisions, but he had a lack of energy and a little loudness. He will have to improve because they have nothing else to call.
Scholes added: “By coming in these places, European games outside are difficult. It was not the most hostile atmospheres. United played well without seeming to win the match convincingly. There is a slight lack of where the goals will come.
Karen Carney, on the other hand, fought the corner of the attacker.
“It did not seem that Garnacho had the breakup and he had something by sticking the knee,” she said. “He didn’t look at himself. Maybe he had a bad match.
“Maybe he hadn’t won the match as they thought. I think fatigue was a factor. They bring submarines and he has no one to provoke.
Garnacho had a fall with Amorim when he joined the club and raised his eyebrows when he headed directly to the tunnel against Ipswich after being replaced last week.
United was fought for a number recently, with Mason Mount, Amad Diallo, Kobbie Mainoo, Luke Shaw and Lisandro Martinez to hurt. Antony and Marcus Rashford, Menawhile, went on loan in winter.

Garnacho seemed to have a roller on his leg during the match
Harry Maguire and Manuel Ugarte took Knocks this week, adding to the club’s growing injury list.
“Until the penalty, we have control and that has changed dynamics,” Amorim told TNT Sports after the match. “In the last 30, were really tired and in Old Trafford, it will be different, the pressure will be on us. We will survive physically on Sunday (against Arsenal).
“The momentum has changed but it was clearly tired. We were late on the balls and they were stronger in the last 30 minutes.
“Until the penalty, we had a good possession. We could put the ball behind, our decisions are sometimes not the best, but we have good times.
On Rasmus Hojlund, losing his composure with Diogo Dalot, he added: `Dalot to the advantage and Rasmus did the sprint but it can happen, they cannot focus on this and must go to the next game. ”
