San Jose – A teaching assistant in a San Jose school was arrested earlier this week, suspected of having had sexually suggestive images of minors, authorities said.
On Monday, the sheriff deputies were sent to the Chandler Tripp school, located at 780 Thornton Way, after the staff members said they had found a USB key containing inappropriate images, according to the Santa Santa Clara sheriff.
USB Flash Drive belonged to Kirk McFarland III, 72, from San Jose, the authorities said.
McFarland admitted that he had seen and downloaded sexually suggestive images of minors, according to the sheriff’s office.
He was arrested on Wednesday for a chief of possession of sexual abuse equipment for children.
McFarland, a long -standing educational assistant, started working at the Chandler Tripp school just over a month ago, the authorities announced. The Santa Clara County Education Office, which oversees the site, informed parents of the situation in a letter.
