If the United States finishes the delivery of patriotic missiles, Ukraine could potentially be provided by other countries which have acquired the American system.
“Russian plans include the increase in the number of launch sites from which they will launch drones on our territory. According to Russian military calculations, if their plans for the first half are carried out, they can launch around 500 drones simultaneously, “Ukraine’s deputy chief told RBC-Ukraine on Monday.
“The Russians understand our capacities and where our air defense systems are, and they try to get around them. In addition, they select priority objectives whose destruction will have the greatest effect, “he added.
Ukraine also operates at least two Samp / T Franco-Italian batteries, with characteristics similar to the patriot.
But the other air defense systems in Ukraine such as Norwegian -American Nasams – it operates approximately a dozen – have a shorter range of around 40 km and are not suitable to be used against ballistic missiles.
Great Britain has signed an agreement with kyiv by virtue of which Ukraine will receive 5,000 Multirol Missiles (LMM) and technology for their production. But it is not clear when these missiles arrive in large quantities. They have a range of about 8 km and do not replace the patriots.
