The Grand Master Indian Arjun Erigaisi finally ended his race without victory after defeating the Nodirbek Abdusattorov in Uzbekistan at the Tata 2025 steel chess tournament at Wijk Aan Zee, in the Netherlands on Saturday. Erigaisi, playing with white pieces against Nodirbek, won the victory in 46 movements and this took its points in the TATA steel chess tournament at 4.5. And although his title hopes are finished, this victory would have brought a huge relief for the 21 -year -old.

How to win Nodirbek would have brought a great relief to Arjun

After several difficult outings in the Tata Steel chess tournament, Erigaisi finally scripted a victory at the Tata Steel chess tournament. Currently, in accordance with the list of official FIDE notes, Arjun is back in fourth place with 2801 points, while Gukesh is in fifth place with 2777 points.

Gukesh, however, is ahead of Arjun in the evaluations of living failures. GUKESH is in third place with 2791.9 points while Arjun is in fifth place with 2772 points.

While Gukesh (8.5 points) is currently sharing a joint point in the Tata steel chess ranking with R Praggnanandhaa, Arjun Erigaisi is in 13th place with 4.5 points. Gukesh won five wins and pulled seven games, while Praggnanndhaa won six and fired six. The 13th and the last round of the tournament will be played on Sunday.
