A 16 -year -old boy was killed and five others injured early Sunday in a “leaflet party” in a manor by Woodland Hills that attracted more than 200 people, the Los Angeles police announced.
The agents responded at 1:30 am to several reports on a shooting during a large gathering in a mansion in block 5900 on Winnetka avenue, police announced.
Between 200 and 300 revelers had gathered at home for a “feast of leaflets”, so appointed for advertisements published in the street, according to Lieutenant Guy Golan of the LAPD Homicide Unit. The party was presented as a VIP event.
“A kind of alternation has occurred, which resulted in the fire of several shots,” Golan told Ktla-TV.
After an argument with a security agent, the suspect was escorted from the property when he started to shoot, according to a witness who spoke to Ktla. The 16 -year -old died on the scene. The other victims were five men – 19, 21, 25 years old – and two who were 34 years old. They were transported to hospital.
The identity of the victims has not been released.
The house, between Hatteras and Oxnard Streets, is at the end of a long driveway on a hill off the Winnetka avenue. The 8,000 square foot “Mega Mansion” is listed on Bookings.com for $ 2,100 per night. Golan said that the house was known to organize games but was not considered a problem.
“Nothing like it,” he said.
No arrests were made. Police speak with witnesses and examine the surveillance videos. Anyone with information is invited to contact the police.
