Fifty years ago, the Mugul Musical Clive Davis Ordered a party to celebrate the release of the first record of the record for the year of Arista Records: “Mandy” by Barry Manilow. Stevie Wonder appeared. John Denver and Elton John too.
What is a punctual celebration for a lasting blow has turned into one of the best known and most exclusive evenings of the year: The Annual Pre-grammy fundraising event Hosted by Davis, which was held every year on Saturday before the Sunday prize show.
At the 2025 services gala, Once again held At the Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills, California, Manilow interpreted his 1975 classic. He was presented with a short video representing him by making the same five decades before.
“Can you believe that I looked like that,” joked Manilow after the participants looked at the two versions. “Can you believe that Clive looked like this?”
