The Razzie Awards spread the “riches” this year, with five films each receiving a leading six nominations, including in the ill-fated race for worst film: Borderlands, Joker: Folie à Deux, Madame Web, MegalopolisAnd Reagan. In the meantime, Unfrosted received four offers, while The Raven caught two.
“At the dawn of a dark era, the 45th Razzies remain ready to pounce,” said the organization, which announced its nominations a day after the inauguration of the 47th president and two days before the 2025 Oscar nominations. Fun fact: the ultimate “winners” of these categories will take home a “$4.97 spray-painted gold statuette.”
Oscar winners nominated for Golden Raspberries this year include Joaquin Phoenix (Joker: Folie à Deux), Cate Blanchett (Borderlands), Lady Gaga (Joker: Folie à Deux), Ariana Debose (Argyle And Kraven the Hunter), And Jon Voight (Megalopolis, Reagan, Shadow LandAnd Strangers).
More than 1,200 Razzie members from 49 states and approximately two dozen foreign countries submitted these nominations in the nine categories.
