Francisco San Martin, a soap opera actor known for originating the role of Dario Hernandez in The days of our livesdied on January 16 at his home. He was 39 years old.
The cause of death was suicide by hanging, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
Born in Mallorca on August 27, 1985, the mandate of San Martin Days ran for six months in 2011. He first appeared in the series as a petty thief, although it was soon revealed that he had arrived in Salem to investigate an unsolved case. His character later moved to Argentina following a professional promotion, and Hernández was subsequently portrayed by Jordi Vilasuso from 2016 to 2017.

Additional TV credits include an arc on Joan the Virgin against Gina Rodriguez; San Martin played an actor named Fabian Regalo del Cielo, who appeared in Jane’s father Rogelio’s telenovela. He appeared in seasons 3 and 4 and Jane had a brief but complicated relationship with him.
According to Forbes and several media, Days his co-star Camila Banus – who plays his on-screen sister Gabi – posted a tribute to San Martin on Instagram: “Pepe, what can I say but I love you and I rest in peace, my friend,” she wrote, adding: “I love you very, very, very much; I would have liked to tell you more.
According to the publication, San Martin began his acting journey in children’s theater productions while growing up in Montana. As a teenager, he returned to Madrid, where he worked as a model and began taking acting classes. Eventually, he graduated to appearing in stage, television and film productions in Spain.
