WWE’s historic partnership with TNA is a good deal for both companies and another potential weapon in the war against AEW.
The multi-year talent-sharing deal between the two companies is more specific to NXT and TNA outside of certain WWE Premium Live events – think Royal Rumble at a minimum. This solidifies previously loose relationships between the companies, which have already benefited NXT’s ratings and TNA’s ticket sales.
The union is making some things clear and could have a massive impact on the professional wrestling landscape.
First, WWE doesn’t view TNA as a threat – just like it didn’t view ECW as such when Vince McMahon was financially helping Paul Heyman keep the company afloat in the 1990s.
